Term-time courses

Our term-time group courses begin with Fourtissimo! for 4 year olds, and Musicianship for ages 5 & 6, each helping to develop a confident foundation in musical understanding, creativity and skill.

In our instrument beginner groups for ages 6-9, children explore and develop further as musicians, with a focus on a single instrument family.

Our classes and ensembles for ages 7-19 enhance and support instrument or voice lessons, to provide a broad and enriching curriculum for your child.
All ensembles perform in a concert to family and friends each term.

Learn to play an instrument in these friendly group classes, which cover technique, music-reading and performance skills. Following on from Musicianship, children develop further as musicians in our instrument beginner classes, learning the fundamentals of instrumental technique in a fun and encouraging group setting.

  • Referral scheme - selected courses including Junior Orchestra and The Saturday Ensemble are in the scheme: bring a friend and if they enrol you each get £10 off. See course detail pages for more information.

Discounts

  • 5% discount on all group courses for children up to age 17, where two or more family members are enrolled in groups or individual tuition, or where one child is enrolled in two or more courses.
  • 10% discount on all group courses for children up to age 17, for enrolled individual tuition students.
  • Discounts are not applied automatically and must be claimed at time of booking.

  • The MONDAY MUSIC after-school programme at Charlton House includes Musicianship, Theory & Composition, Children’s Choir, Junior Orchestra, Youth Orchestra and Creative Ensemble.
