Music Studio
Create and record your music, with sessions in a professional studio
Do you want to make your own music?
Are you already creating?
Get down your sounds, ideas, and feelings recorded and up online, for others to hear.
Whatever your style - from beats to rock, singer-songwriter to jazz - get pro tips and polish your sounds ready to share. Work with our expert mentors to grow your skills and present your music in the best light.
The course includes workshop time, practical music-making, writing tips and feedback, and a recording session in the fully kitted-out Unwound Studio in Deptford - host to artists such as Tom Misch, Arlo Parks and Yussef Days.
Who is this course for?
If music fires you up, this is for you. Maybe you want to create your own music - maybe you already are. Maybe you want to find out more about creating a polished release, working with labels, joining the music industry and about making a living in music. Maybe you have music lessons, maybe not. We can provide musical equipment, instruments and guidance.
The course leader is Simon Maddison, a BBC 6 Music playlisted singer/songwriter who writes and performs music as Silent Cities.
Check out the music recorded by previous cohorts: Autumn 2023 or Spring 2024.
