About us

Greenwich Music School is a registered charity and centre of excellence in music education.

We teach over 400 children and adults every week, through a range of instrument and voice lessons, group courses and ensembles, early years classes for young children and parents, professional training and special projects.

We offer the same high quality of music education to students of all ages and levels - from toddlers to professional musicians.
Greenwich Music School was founded in 2016 by musicians and teachers Bethan Scolding and Ed Scolding, and is a registered charity (no. 1176649) working to provide access to high quality education for all.

Our ethos

We believe in practical, holistic music education...

The world of music is endlessly rich - we structure learning for each student, aiming to nurture their whole musical potential.

Informed by professional music-making...

Our directors and teachers are active professional musicians who bring their experience to everything that Greenwich Music School does.

In positive learning environments, encouraging creativity & collaboration...

We help students to be confident and to enjoy expressing themselves and communicating through music – whether through interpretation, ensemble playing, composition, improvisation or anything else...

From expert educators.

Our teachers are experienced, innovative and committed to providing quality education.

Greenwich Music School is a registered charity, governed by a board of trustees.
