Our ethos

Our impact

We teach for long-term, meaningful impact.

My son’s motivation for playing cello has gone through the roof since joining the Greenwich Music School orchestra and playing with other children. The teacher/conductor is truly inspiring. He ensures the kids reach their full potential by keeping them on their toes and boosting their confidence. I can’t wait to see the Christmas concert and I would highly recommend the experience to other children who are serious about playing.

At GMS they have a fantastic method of teaching music to toddlers, we are so lucky to have found them! Alba really enjoys exploring and playing instruments, singing and dancing. We use our imaginations a lot in class, have learned many new songs and are now familiar with loads of different instruments.

I like that there are different classes for babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers with adapted activities for each age range, which I find really important at this early stage, and also that our teacher is a professional musician and has a fantastic voice

After doing a number of weekend conducting workshops and week long masterclasses both in London and Budapest, I decided that I needed a conducting course that lasted much longer and was more progressive if I was to really improve my conducting technique. I could not have made a better decision than to put myself in the hands of Denise Ham and the other excellent tutors at the London Conducting Academy - within a matter of weeks my conducting had changed radically and I realised that by the end of the course I would emerge a much better conductor indeed.

Catching the early morning flights back and forth from Belfast to London has been absolutely worth it, as the marvellous repertoire has been varied and the tuition extremely informative. The atmosphere and class setting, not to mention the friendships made has made for a very memorable experience. My only regret is that a course like this didn’t exist when I first started conducting.
