Administration, reception and facilities assistant

Mondays during term, c. 3-7.30pm

Remuneration: an hourly rate of £10, including holiday entitlement.

This a self-employed position. The work will be for an initial period from September to December, based at Charlton House (SE7 8RE). 

This is a new role with potential to grow in the future.

The role will include: 
• Acting as a point of contact for parents and students, welcoming new people and assisting as necessary.
• Setting up teaching spaces with instruments and equipment
• Distributing and collecting registers
• Taking payments and processing bookings 

We are looking for someone who: 
• has a friendly and professional manner
• enjoys working with children in an atmosphere of learning
• understands the importance of safeguarding for children
• is self-motivated, responsible and organised
• has an understanding of music learning   
• understands privacy and keeping safe personal data  
• is efficient and able to manage time effectively
• can work with positivity under pressure
• pays attention to detail

Ideally the candidate will have experience in customer service. 

Greenwich Music School is a centre of excellence in music education, running high-quality creative music tuition, group courses, projects and training. GMS offers the same high quality music education to students of all ages and levels, from toddlers to professional musicians.

Singing teacher

Thursdays, c. 4-8pm, or possibly a different day by agreement.
Potential to add other days at a later date. 

Remuneration: an hourly rate of £30.30, including holiday entitlement.
All lessons take place at GMS venues, and are based during term time.

We are looking for tutors who:
• have at least a degree or equivalent in music
• have significant relevant teaching experience (please indicate this in your CV)
• are passionate about teaching, and about making music  
• can inspire, challenge and encourage students
• create a positive, relaxed learning environment
• are self-motivated and organised
• will take advantage of being part of Greenwich Music School, sharing ideas with other tutors and engaging with the other courses and projects
• are committed to continuing professional development through training and engagement in professional dialogue.
