What's a GMS concert like?
“Students are encouraged to perform often, whatever level they are at, because performing is such a rewarding part of music.”
We love sharing what our students are up to!
Each term we have at least one Soloists concert - for students studying an instrument or voice with Greenwich Music School, plus one Ensembles concert - for groups like choir and the orchestras.
We try to film as many of these as possible, as it's a great way to see what these concerts are like!
Students are encouraged to perform often, whatever level they are at, because performing is such a rewarding part of music.
We also love to see our students progressing - developing technique, characterisation, confidence, musical personality and style.
And it's great for each student to see what other students are up to - it can be inspiring and exciting, give new ideas for pieces, give context to their own work, and give experience hearing unfamiliar instruments.
If you're tempted you can find out more about our instrument or voice lessons, or our group courses and ensembles. Or if you're already a GMS student, just look out for the next concert entry dates!
