Bethan is a Co-founder and the Principal of Greenwich Music School.
Bethan is a classical pianist, based in London. She is a soloist, chamber musician, accompanist and collaborator. Her work includes classical recitals, film and dance accompanimemt, historically-informed performance and contemporary music. She has been praised for her sensitivity of touch, intuitive accompaniment skills and her animated and engaging introductions to the music she is performing.
Bethan studied Music and English Literature at Cardiff University, graduating with First Class Honours and the John Morgan Lloyd Music Prize. She then completed an MMus in Piano Performance at Trinity College of Music, where she studied with Simon Young and Margaret Fingerhut. She now performs accross the UK as both a soloist and chamber musician.
Bethan has over ten years experience teaching students of all ages. She approaches her teaching with the dedication and creativity that she applies to her own performance, encouraging students to explore a broad range of repertoire and helping them to develop secure technique and confident performance, ensemble and improvisation skills.
Bethan is a trained early years music practitioner and delivers classes for children from 6 months to 5 years, combining elements of Dalcroze and Kodaly to deliver high quality music tuition through songs, storytelling and games. Bethan is a member of the Incorporated Society of Musicians and the European Piano Teachers Association.
