Music tutors: Violin, Piano, Cello, Clarinet, Guitar

Remuneration: an hourly rate of £30.30 including holiday entitlement.

Greenwich Music School is expanding its individual tuition programme, and seeks outstanding tutors to contribute to the activity and ethos of the organisation.

A violin tutor for Monday afternoon and evening is sought to begin work in September 2017.

All other tutors recruited at this point are likely to be offered weekly teaching beginning within the next year, according to their availability and to the demand for their instrument. All lessons take place at GMS venues, and are based during term time with some additional holiday teaching.

We are looking for tutors who:
• have at least a degree or equivalent in music
• have significant relevant teaching experience
• are passionate about teaching, and about making music  
• can inspire, challenge and encourage students
• create a positive, relaxed learning environment
• are self-motivated and organised
• will take advantage of being part of Greenwich Music School, sharing ideas with other tutors and engaging with the other courses and projects
• are committed to continuing professional development through training and engagement in professional dialogue.
• are in tune with our work and ethos- see about.

Greenwich Music School is a centre of excellence in music education, running high-quality creative music tuition, group courses, projects and training. GMS offers the same high quality music education to students of all ages and levels, from toddlers to professional musicians.

Early Years Music Tutor

Remuneration: an hourly rate of £33.30, including holiday entitlement.

Greenwich Music school is seeking an outstanding tutor to join its early years music team (Greenwich Early Years Music), to deliver classes to babies and toddlers aged 0-4. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a passionate and dedicated early years team in a new organisation dedicated to high quality music education.

Classes take place in locations across Greenwich and are based during term time with some additional holiday teaching.

Work would be offered as Greenwich Early Years Music grows, according to availability and demand, with work initially around 1/2 day a week, probably Friday.
