Pete Grogan

Based in London since 2000 and following his BA in Jazz Studies, Pete Grogan’s personal approach to playing, writing, arranging has seen him work with a wide variety of artists, producing live and recorded credits that stretch from rock, pop, soul and jazz to the avant-garde and animation.

Pete plays with Barclaycard Mercury Music Award Nominees Led Bib (BBC2, Channel4, BBC Radio 2, 6Music, XFM), has recorded with Take Me To The River Allstars (feat. Paul Carrack, Beverly Knight, Carla Thomas, Marcus Scott), Ed Sheeran, The Heavy (Hurt And The Merciless), recorded and toured with Comedian Alex Horne and The Horne Section, appearing on Channel 4 and various radio broadcasts (Out Of 10 Cats Does Countdown, Radio 4, BBC1), recorded with Adam Riches for Radio 4 (The Guns Of Adam Riches).

As a composer and arranger, Pete’s work has been featured on Magic Light Pictures’ animated realisation of Roald Dahl’s Revolting Rhymes. He has also arranged large ensembles for various broadcasts on Disney Plus and Cartoon Network.
Pete has over 20 years teaching experience and has taught consistently alongside his playing commitments. He is interested in translating his professional experiences to the class room, in a way that inspires and nurtures the individual in all of his students. Autonomy of learning is something he deems as a vital component in the development of any musician.

Pete also works as an Examiner for Trinity College London.
