Maddie is a woodwind multi-instrumentalist with a great interest for all saxophones, clarinets, and flutes. She studied joint classical and jazz saxophone at the Royal College of Music, where she also received continuous lessons and opportunities in clarinet and flute. Maddie has showcased her versatility by performing across various genres, including classical, jazz, funk, and pop, with groups and orchestras in London. She plays baritone sax in the Haven Quartet and other saxophone quartets, as well as in jazz orchestras and big bands, performing at venues including Pizza Express Live Soho, POSK Jazz Cafe and The Crypt at St. John’s Smith Square. Maddie plays reeds in numerous pit bands for theatre production and groups, including shows like Chicago, A Christmas Carol and Sunday in the Park with George and has recorded sessions at the Abbey Road Studios.
In addition to her performing career, Maddie has taught since she moved to London in 2020 and is dedicated to sharing the joy of woodwind instruments with students of all ages and skill levels. She takes pride in understanding each student’s unique learning style, ensuring their progress and enjoyment. Committed to creating a safe and supportive environment, Maddie focuses on building confidence and having fun, making learning an enriching experience for all her students.
