Glenda Bogdanovs
Glenda is a degree level Teacher (B Ed) with over 40 years experience of teaching in inner London schools. She has always specialised in Early Years and music has always been integral to her work.
Her teaching career began in the ILEA as a class teacher in Tower Hamlets. After 2 she moved to Lewisham borough completed a year as a class teacher in a nursery school there.
Based at the same school Glenda was appointed as manager of a popular outreach mobile teaching service which she successfully maintained for the following 35 years.
During this time she was able to work alongside other Early Years music teachers and she created a CD of familiar and traditional songs for children to share at home. This was recorded with the help of professional musicians.
In order to gain further understanding of parent / child relationship Glenda studied at the Tavistock and Portman NHS Clinic and gained a post graduate diploma in the psychodynamics of mental health.
Glenda was appointed as a Children’s Centre teacher in Brixton and finally as a part time teacher in a Greenwich primary school.
During the pandemic Glenda made a series of 60 videos of songs and stories for children to view at home in lock down.
These are now a youtube channel called Granny Glenda.
