How to make music at home!
Great musical gift idea
Why not include a coloured scarf or two in your child’s Christmas stocking this year? They’re great for developing creativity, singing with, moving with, playing peekaboo and more - all great ways to enhance music and communication skills! Search google to buy.
Recycled Music!
Simple resources are great for making music!
Christmas comes with boxes and paper – sing songs or play recorded music with your child and find sounds on your box to play along; what different sounds can you find? Accompany a story with sound effects from a box and scrunched up paper. The creativity and possibilities are endless! Try this with other objects in your home too!
Join us in January
Our interactive online or face-to-face music classes are created around a theme or story. This term, using the themes ‘Off we Go,’ the children enjoyed ‘visiting’ exciting places through music like the lake, the farm, the jungle, and music-making closer to home ‘In the garden’ with bouncing rabbits and slidy snails, and tickly spiders!
Next term ‘Night-time in my house’ will be our music-making theme based on the story ‘Peace at last’ by Jill Murphy including the nursery rhyme ‘Hickory Dickory Dock.’ Come along and join in with musical ideas to take you through your week. We look forward to welcoming you and your child to our classes in January!
