Our range of inspiring courses this summer offers a range of opportunities for exploring and learning, for children aged 4 to 17, and for adults. Play jazz, rock or pop, get creative with music theory, try the oboe, have a composition lesson or join the highly popular Young Musicians' Summer Course. You'll notice our dedication to high quality music education in every course.

0-3 years

Family Music classes

Learn through play and exploration, in this carefully structured course which teaches essential foundation skills for young musicians.

5-9 years

Young Musicians' Summer Course

Mon 6th - Weds 8th August, 9.30am-12.30pm (drop-off from 9.15am)

Develop and explore music skills in our popular course. Stimulating practical music activities will challenge and inspire your child - they'll sing, play instruments, create their own music and perform to each other.

9-16 years
Grade 2+ or equivalent

Theory Max!

Mon 30th July - Weds 1st August, 9.30am-12.15pm
Charlton House, SE7 8RE
£108 - three half-days

This creative hands-on course covers the fundamental elements of music theory applicable to exam levels 3 to 5. Students will learn by using these elements to create their own compositions, which will be performed within the group. Bring your instrument!

Open Ensemble

Mon 30th - Tues 31st July, 1.30pm-4.15pm
Charlton House, SE7 8RE
£72 - two half-days

Get together with fellow budding performers to enjoy playing music together - all instruments are welcome and music will be chosen and adapted for the group.

Theory Max! + Open Ensemble: £150 when booked together. 
Add both courses to basket, then use code T491 at checkout. Please note students will be supervised between courses, but lunch is not provided.

11-17 years
Grade 2+ or equivalent

Jazz Band

Weds 1st - Thurs 2nd Aug, 9.30am-12.15pm

Whether you're into scat or blues, Herbie Hancock or Nina Simone, Charlie Parker or Norah Jones - or anything else jazz! - join us to play.

Rock & Pop Band

Weds 1st  - Thurs 2nd Aug, 1.30-4.15pm
Vanbrugh Studio, SE10 9HP
£72 - two half-days

Check in and rock out - from Pink Floyd to Arcade Fire, Adele to The Smiths - get together and play. Let us know what you like and we'll try to include it.

5-17 years & adults
Any level, from beginner to consultation lessons.

Our first ever summer holiday course! Three amazing days at Charlton House, with choir sessions, musicianship, taster instrument lessons with guitars, violins and wind instruments, film soundtrack composing, making our own ocean drums, and creative free-composition & notation sessions... plus plenty of apple juice, and lunchtimes on the lawn!

Our holiday courses take place in the summer months and other school holidays, and range from early years to professional training.
