Michael Rose

Piano

Michael Rose is a versatile British pianist, and collaborator, a recent graduate of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama repetiteur course after having achieved a First Class undergraduate degree in Piano Performance at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. Michael also takes interest in the art song repertoire, recently receiving the 2022 Edwards Brooks English Song Accompanist Prize and prior to this, he participated as a finalist in the 2021 RBC Stuart Cameron Smith French Song Prize.

Michael has enjoyed the concert stage, having performed in venues such as Lamport Hall and an audition recital as part of the Oxford Lieder 2022 festival whilst also participating as a Young Artist within the Leeds Lieder 2022 festival, both engagements alongside Hannah Morley. Here, he performed in the Howard Assembly Room and in masterclasses led by Joan Rodgers and Amanda Roocroft.

Michael enjoys participating in a variety of musical projects and areas but finds a unique feeling of fulfilment teaching students of all ages, enthusiastic to share his passion and love for music.
