Harry Gould

Guitar, bass

Harry is a professional bassist, guitarist, and producer/composer. As a teacher, he helps students of all ages and abilities to explore their own musical interests, nurturing genuine musicality in an exciting way. As well as guitar and bass lessons, Harry also specialises as a teacher in rhythm & groove, improvisation, music theory and composition.

A versatile musician with substantial experience both live and in the studio, he has performed across the UK and Europe including venues such as Ronnie Scott’s and Montreux Jazz Festival. He is currently working with various artists and bands spanning jazz, funk & soul, pop/rock, RnB, and musical theatre.

Harry completed his undergraduate degree in music at Cardiff University, where his primary instrument was classical guitar. In his third year, he lead the university’s Big Band as musical director, as well as winning the Cardiff University String Prize for his final recital. Graduating from Cardiff with first-class honours, he then undertook a masters in jazz at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama. There he studied bass under Jules Jackson, Laurence Cottle, and Rob Mullarkey, graduating with distinction in 2021.
