Pianists Together

Age: 7-11 or 11-16

Group size: 4 to 12

Experience required: Grade 1+

Duration: 1/2 to 1 day, or ongoing series

Spaces & resources required: Rooms(s) with one full-length piano plus keyboards, for one per two students

Objectives: Piano students play music in duets, trios and other group sizes, introducing or developing ensemble skills

Activity: Pianists are given a rare opportunity to work as an equal member of an ensemble, with repertoire specifically written for these ensembles. The workshop develops ensemble work, boosting confidence, technique, communication and repertoire ideas to kick-start further ensemble work.
