Who Can Attend?

Our sessions are open to a diverse range of individuals, including:

• Aspiring and practicing conductors
• Music educators
• Orchestral musicians
• Professional musicians looking to enhance their conducting skills
• Music undergraduates or postgraduates studying conducting or planning to do so
• Music enthusiasts with a keen interest in conducting, orchestral music, or classical repertoire, particularly works by composers like Mozart and Beethoven

If you're comfortable with reading music notation, we recommend bringing along the score, which can be found for most pieces on IMSLP

How do I join a session?

We offer 16 sessions open to observers each year, from October through to July. You can view all session dates along with repertoire details on our London Conducting Academy page

Each session kicks off at 11:15 am and wraps up by 5:15 pm.

The sessions take place at The Amadeus, 16 minutes walk from Paddington station or 7 minutes walk from Warwick Avenue underground station:
The Amadeus, 50 Shirland Rd, Little Venice, London, W9 2JA.

You're welcome to join our sessions as an observer in various ways:
• Come and visit the course to get a taste of what it's all about.
• Attend a few sessions each term to explore different aspects.
• Join us for every session to witness the development of conducting technique and artistry throughout the year.
